LifeDance has always chosen to highlight artists that are the best at what they do. This year, at the Eden Underground Stage, LifeDance brings the spotlight to one of the country’s finest in the craft and premier talents to be featured in big name festivals overseas. Ladies and gentlemen, we’re taking you to a euphoric state of trance with JOHN ODIN.

“Always wanted to DJ since I was 13 years old. But put it away because I didnt think it could happen. I Saw John ’00’ Flemming at TIME in Manila’s grand opening. I promised myself one day Ill play here.”

Those were John Philip Calderon’s thoughts 17 years ago.

Fast forward 13 years later, he was mentored by Mark Nicosia at Looper Beat Academy on technical skills, flow, and creative process. He is now running the biggest trance nights in the country. Having shared decks with prominent talents in short span of time: Markus schulz, Cosmic Gate, Jordan Suckley, Andrew Rayel, Tenishia, Indicent Noise, Arctic moon, Sebastian Brandt, Marlo, Michael Woods, and more. He was also invited to play at ASOT 650 (A State of Trance) preparty, and other big trance events in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a testament to his identity in the genre.

“All of these people I’ve shared the stage with, once people I only listened to and probably could never play with. Now I have.”

Now with 5 original tracks out and signing with numerous record labels local and abroad, John Odin still seeks to stay ahead of the curve and be the BEST at what he plays, taking trance only with him, and continuing to reinvent himself in every performance without compromising his sound much like the dreamy psychedelic nature of trance music.
